Here is a break down of three high school top ten drafted straight out of high school pitchers from the s16 draft and their progress until now.

#3 Tim Riley selected by the Omaha(Fresno)

#6 Stan Pillette selected by Oklahoma City(Memphis)

#7 Buddy Garcia selected by Monterrey

I will be looking at everything that make a prospect get better: coaches, training budget, playing time, etc.

Season 16- Omaha $10 M training budget
Omaha Played for RL coach Danny Blank who was a 53 rated pitching coach.
He started 15 games and went 8-5 with a 2.15 ERA in 88 innings.
The team went 45-31 winning their division.
Started 4 playoff games going 4-0 with a 1.17 ERA in 23 innings.

Season 17- Omaha Began Spring training with a 58 OVR rating. $10 Training budget.
Promoted to AA. Coach Francis Swann who was rated 66. (note Spud Hamlin coached HiA with a 68 rating)
He started 28 games and went 12-6 with a 4.17 ERA in 151 innings.
The team went 75-69 winning their division.
Started one playoff game and lost it.
He went on the DL with Shoulder tendonitis for 30 days(Medical budget 10)

Season 18- Salem :Began the season with a 64 OVR rating..^6 $14 training budget.
Started year in AA promoted after 2 starts to AAA.
Played mostly for Francis Swann who was a 69 rated pitching coach (note Spud Hamlin coached AA with a 72 rating)
Started a total of 31 games went 9-11 with a 4.76 ERA in 179 innings.
The team went 58-104 so no playoffs.

Season 19- Fresno :Began the season with a 71 OVR rating..^7 $14M Training.
Left in AAA coached by Lou Watson
At time of press has increased to 74 OVR.^3 and in 3-5 in 12 starts.

Season 16- Oklahoma City $12 M training budget
Played for RL coach Roscoe Kennedy who was a 61 rated pitching coach.
He started 15 games and went 2-4 with a 5.08 ERA in 56 innings.
The team went 33-43 and did not make the playoffs


Season 17- Oklanhoma City :Began spring training with a 55 OVR rating. $13 Training budget.
Promoted to AA. Coached by Ricardo Moya who was rated only 48. (note Moya is out of coaching since this season)
He started 22 games and went 3-5 with a 4.84 ERA in 89 innings.
The team went 89-55 But Pillette was hurt for the playoffs
He went on the DL with Shoulder ligament tear for 66 days(Medical budget 13)

Season 18- New Orleans :Began the season with a 59 OVR rating.^4 $13 training budget.
He was kept in AA due the injury.
Played for Ike Washburn who was a 66 rated pitching coach.
Started a 29 games went 11-5 with a 3.32 ERA in 152 innings.
The team went 85-59 and lost in 7 in the AA World Series.
Started 4 playoff games and went 3-1 with a 5.40 ERA

Season 19- Memphis :Began the season with a 67 OVR rating.^8 $10M Training.
Promoted to AAA coached by Clarence Simmons
At time of press has increased to 68 OVR.^1 and is 5-0 in 9 starts and came in from the pen once.

Season 16- Always played for Monterrey $20 M training budget.
Played for RL coach Vladimir Saez who was a 53 rated pitching coach.
He started 14 games and went 9-1 with a 3.60 ERA in 70 innings.
The team went 61-15 and won the RL world series but Garcia was on the DL
He went on the DL with Forearm nerve irriatation for 210 days that went into the next season.(Medical budget 9)


Season 17-:Began spring training with a 53 OVR rating. $20 Training budget.
Started the year on the DL and kept in RL after healthy. Coached by Vic Navarro who was rated 60. (note he was the 3rd highest rated RL pitching coach that year)
He started 15 games and went 12-2 with a 2.68 ERA in 94 innings.
The team went 55-21 and lost in the RL World Series
Started 5 postseason games and went 1-3 with 3.00 ERA
Won the RL CY Young and was on the AllStar team


Season 18- :Began the season with a 60 OVR rating.^7 $20 training budget.
Promoted to AA and played for Joe Wells who was a 66 rated pitching coach. (Note LoA coach Vic Navarro was a 64 and HiA coach Ruben Gonzales was higher at 67.)
Started a 18 games went 9-4 with a 2.15 ERA in 108 innings and then was promoted to AAA. (AAA coach Jamie Powell was rated 70)
In AAA he started 11 games and went 2-7 with 3.95 ERA.
The AA team went 83-61 and won the AA world Series but he was up in AAA whose record was 72-72 and no playoffs.


Season 19- :Began the season with a 69 OVR rating.^9 $20M Training.
Kept in AAA coached by Mack McCracken the second highest rated AAA pitching coach with 82 rating.
At time of press has increased to 72 OVR.^3 and is 8-1 in 11 starts and came in from the pen once.
